Eli Gabriel Halpern (USA, born 1986) is a painter, mixed media sculptor and installation artist. As a teenager, Eli studied classical portraiture and sculpture at The Art Student's League. In 2008 he received his BFA degree from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, graduating with the Pietro and Alfriedo Montana Prize for excellence in sculpture.Since graduation, he helped fellow Cooper alumni build and develop Splinters and Logs LLC, a studio and exhibition space for artists in Brooklyn.In April of 2009 he organized the space's first group show. His work has been featured in group shows in New York and DC, and a piece of his was exhibited in the 2009 Sculpture Triennial in Poznan, Poland. He is currently attending SVA for his MFA.
